當Third person singular, (he/she/it/dog/boy/car,…..)是 subject (主詞) , 使用 present simple tense, main verb 要加 +s

He works in a shop.
She exercises every morning.
The dog barks.
The boy walks home.
The car stops.

如果 verb (動詞) 的結尾是o、ss、ch、sh、x，z , 要加 +es
Exception例外: tattoo - tattoos

go – goes, pass-passes, teach- teaches, wash-washes, fax – faxes, buzz – buzzes

He goes to church every Sunday.
She passes the shop.
The tutor teaches me English.
The servant washes the clothes.
The clerk faxes the document to me.
例外: The Indian tattoos his body.

如果 verb (動詞) 的結尾是y，y之前是a, e, i, o 或 u，(vowel), 祇加 +s
play – plays, prey – preys, buoy – buoys, buy – buys

如果 verb (動詞) 的結尾是y，y之前不是a, e, i, o 或 u，(是 consonant), 刪除y, 加+ ies
cry – cries, fly – flies, try - tries, spy - spies

the last word is a/i/o/u
