GENEROUS (adjective)

1 - giving or willing to give something, especially money, more than usual or expected (approving) 慷慨的

2. - friendly, helpful, and willing to see the good qualities in someone or something. 寬大為懷

He was always generous in sharing his enormous knowledge...

3. - much larger than is usual or necessary. 豐厚的
I was surprised by the generous pay increase.


CHARITABLE (adjective)

1.- giving money, food or help free to those who are in need because they are ill, poor or have no home (connected with a charity or charities) 慈善,

charitable foundation (trust, organization)
charitable offering, charitable donation, charitable contribution, charitable work

2: - kind, and not judging other people in a severe way寬容的對待

Some critics said the movie was good in parts - those less charitable said the whole movie was a disaster.

You should be charitable with her; she is a child after all.
