Good morning. As the chairperson of the Student Association, I feel great pleasure to share with all of you some methods to avoid lateness. But before that, may I avail myself of this opportunity to introduce you the present reasons of students getting late in the morning.To begin with, the current situation is not at all satisfactory with the teachers complaining about the lateness of students. These classmates are always late in the morning. They always come to school after 8 am. Not only the teachers, the parents are also very worried of their children. Previously, the teachers reported their worries to the parents. Yet, those classmates are not working hard for their studies at night but playing online games and chatting with friends. They do it through the night. Most of them go to school late, and the last thing they want to do is to go home. Some of the students sit in 24-hour cafes and play computer games solely. They think that going to school is just fulfilling the expectation of their parents. Hence, the problems of student’s lateness can be very serious. I can say that arriving school on time is an important issue for you and me. For the rest of time, I would like to tell you why lateness is unacceptable. Firstly, getting late can let you lose the first impression. Getting late in school, you would be punished by teachers.You would be sent to the Attendence Class. On the contrary, getting late in the company that you work for in the future, your boss's impression on you would be poor. Or you would be fired by him or her. I want to say that, arriving on time is a habit. Going to school on time can help you to keep this a good habit .That is why lateness is unacceptable because it would indirectly harm your future.
