我想問heating under reflux時, condenser嘅water in點解要由下而上, 而唔可以由上而下??

it's to immediately cool down the vapor that reaches the condenser. if the flow of water is reversed, vapor goes higher in condenser before condensation. as a result, there's larger portion of vapor that escapes.
