First of all, do not worry about OLE.

I am sure your school has organized enough OLE programmes for you to meet the minimum requirement. ASny extra participation is your bonus, which is not necessary.

Let me clarify your concerns as follows:

1) No. Service is not limited to indoor or outdoor. Once you have provided voluntary services, the time will be counted.

2) Of course. A librarian will act like the prefects, big sister, monitor, etc, all of them will have the service time counted.

3) Yes. But you have need to have the record for submission and verification. You need to get the letter of certificate from the external organization so when JUPAS requests your submission, you still have the documents to proof.

4) No. In a school ( senior form students ), less than 20% can be a prefect. We can only say prefects are those who in general have the best disciplines, but discipline is not a determined factor to enter the university. Academic results are still the most essential factor.

Hence, do not worry on OLE. Strive for the best result. I can tell: HKDSE results will finally be more important than all services.
