if i am a businessman, a boss, and i pay the same salary for a new worker, of course i will take the one had studied on board ( even i may pay little more for it ).
why? because people had studied on board, their thinking and vision and idea will more creative that people always in HK.

since you interest to be nursing or vet. i will suggest you consider Aus, Canada, then US. because Hk will honor your Aus or Can certification. you can work in HK if you want.
if you like to stay in US, i will suggest you study there, because nursing and vet. is professional worker,so, you can easily find job there and then exchange into the immigrate status.

also, nursing and veterinarian is not that easy to study and get in the med school. you need a strong background from high school, English, Bio, Chemistry and high GPA and SAT score. which you can not complated in same level in HK high school .
tell your parents to think about the adveange in your future is not the money they saved in HK school could cover.

if your family finanically able to suport you, go as early as possible, which country is you go then is not so impoartant.

i have 3 kids in college now, i can tell you if for study any professional degree, it is not easy to get in, and easy to study at all. so, start early in their school to build up their education standard is plus.
