I took a sneak peek at VictoriaTam's answers before replying and I think she's good on all 14 answers she gave. You should consider her advice of taking up a beginner's English class. It need not be too expensive and I believe it's best that you can get a Chinese-English bilingual teacher to teach. Helps when you run into trouble translating chinese thinking/wording into English.

* Q8. Are you thinking "acid soup" = 酸梅湯/酸菜湯？If it's, you'll need a dual lingual teacher.
