Polaroid (PMP280C-4) 4GB MP3 video player + 4GB added memory not big enough for a 4.2GB video file?

My Polaroid MP3 player came with 4GB (3.53GB actual) memory. I added a 4GB micro SD card (3.68GB actual). But they showed up on my computer as 2 separate USB storage devices. I tried to load a 4.2GB movie without any success. I got a message saying that there was not enough disk space on either one of the disks. How can I combine the two disk drives into one 8GB? I don't want to have to cut the video into two.

You have to cut the file in two. These devices do not sophisticated enough to afford raid, which is what you need to combine two drives together.

Your /best/ bet would be to get a bigger SD card. I use mine as a camera with a 16GB card in the SD slot. And then I keep my music on the "main drive" section.

You cant, as most mp3 players or media players the "Upgradeable" is just a 2nd storage drive. so id recomend shrinking your movie
