TAKE RIGHTWARD IS POSITIVE.
A trolley (have a mass of 2kg) is placed on the floor.
A force F is acting on the trolley.
The acceleration of the trolley is 3ms^-2.
Find the magnitude of the friction f between the floor and the trolley.
PLEASE SHOWS STEPS AND EXPLAIN BRIEFLY.

Take rightward diretion to be +ve.
Hence, net force acting on the trolley = F + (-f) = F - f
Since net-force = mass x acceleration,
thus, F - f = 2 x 3
i.e. f = F - 6

The frictional force is thus 6 N smaller than the applied force F.
