They have said that the caused of failure was due to a high surge in current to the circuit board that resulted a burning/over heating to the product. They have also later narrowed the problems to 2 causes, which is either a surge in current or a fault in the transformer's voltage. They further elaborated that their circuit board has no part in contributing to the failure.
