I have a MP3 and it is charged through USB.
When the desktop is off, it shows a charging icon for 1 or 2 seconds, then the icon changes to fully charged icon and a fully charged message is displayed.
When the desktop is on, it shows a charging icon until the battery is fully charged.
What is cause?
Charging through USB?

Because when your computer is off, there is no power being used to charge your mp3 player so it's actually not fully charged. But when it's on and it shows that it's charging then an hour or more later it shows that it's fully charged, that's when it's accurately telling you that it is indeed fully charged.

charging from desktop is normal when system is on, when the system turn off, power supply from the SMPS also goes off, at the time battery on the MP3 player full is also normal, because battery status on the MP3 player always shows in percentage, when it reaches 75% charge then also it will display full when u start using them, it real status of the battery will be shown after minutes of use.
