I want to say my favorite movie is hero. Is this correct.
Wo zui xi ai de dianying shi hero
or would it be wo zui xi ai dianying shi hero.

This is for a class speech and at the end i want to say now you know me. Can i say Ni xianzai renshi wo.

Sorry for lack of tones. Thanks!

Your first translation, "Wo zui xi ai de dianying shi hero" is better :)

"Xi ai" is fine; though it contains the word "ai" which means to love, "xi ai" actually means to like. "Xi 'ai" connotes a liking that is greater than mere "xi huan".

"Ni xianzai renshi wo." is a bit wrong. Though in English it translates to 'Now I know you", as in I know your name, I recognise who you are, etc, it's different from "Now you understand me better" which is what you want to say, right? So the correct sentence would be: " xian4 zai4 ni3 bi3 jiao4 liao2 jie2 wo3"
參考: I'm a Chinese :)

The first is right. The Chinese pinyin is wǒ zuì xǐ huān de diàn yǐng shì hero
For now you know me,you can say xiàn zài nǐ rèn shí wǒ le or xiàn zài nǐ zhī dào wǒ le
the pinyin le is meaning already
Hope this can help you! xiè xie(谢谢)

ai is about love so you are wrong
it should be "xi huan"

"wo zui xi huan de dianying shi hero".

For your first question: Wo zui xi ai de dian ying shi hero (first one)
Second question: xian zai ni jiu ren shi wo le

1)我最喜愛的電影是《英雄》= wo zui xi ai de dian ying shi Hero (standard Chinese)

2) The second sentence has a missing article (shi 是) which is not too proper but still understandable.

3) ni xian zai renshi wo = 你現在認識我 is a run on in chinese... (sound improper)
The chinese do it = xi wang da jia duo duo zi jiao = 希望大家多多指教。which translate to "hope to learn more from all." + a bow follow by xie xie 謝謝 with a smile!

I think so. If you say more than set then you will impress your teacher.
