Ok.. I'll try giving you some tips about guessing the meaning of a word. Any piece of English is always written in noun, verbs.
noun = name of something
verb = action
Very often problematic words are repeated in the following sentences, b'coz good writer always like to use "big, difficult" words but explain it later in a very friendly down to earth language.
