What does taking a lunch break mean?

I think it's just a label for a period of time. "Lunch break" should mean a certain amount of minutes. Like 30 or 60. And it means you get to use that time however you want. You can use it to eat, or sleep or read or talk on the phone or whatever. Where you eat your lunch is immaterial. If you take five minutes to eat and have 25 minutes left over, it means you can wander away if you like.

I'm pretty sure labour law supports this definition as well.

You can normally eat lunch at your desk on a lunch break, or you can go out. Does not mean get rest after lunch

lunch break means you take a break at lunchtime, whether you eat or not is up to you.

ill tell u what it would mean if u were my employee.. it would mean when u get ur *** back from mcdonalds get ready to work

...it means you take a break from work and eat lunch. could be out if you have enough time, could be right there if its only for 30 min or so
