1)What is the equcation of acidification of wine then liberates all sulphur dioxide?

2)what is the equcation when the solution is titrated with iodine?

1. reaction between sulfite and acid
SO3(2-) + 2H(+) ------> H2SO3 ------> H2O + SO2

2. redox reaction
SO3(2-) + H2O + I2 ------> SO4(2-) + 2H(+) + 2I(-)

3.
sulphur dioxide is a gas. after acidification, sulphite inside solution turns into gas and starts escaping from the solution. this will cause some loss, which results to under-estimation of sulphur dioxide content.
