Subordinate v.s. Coordinate conjunctions

咩叫DEPENDENT OR INDEPENDENT CLAUSE我都知.

It was raining, so I took my umbrella.(coordinate conjuction -SO)
Because it was raining, I took my umbrella.(.(subordinate conjuction -because)

仲有成日話Because it was raining表逹唔到一個完整意思,但so I took my umbrella又米表達唔到一個完整意思.

It was raining, so I took my umbrella.(coordinate conjuction -SO)

Because it was raining, I took my umbrella.(.(subordinate conjuction -because)

(1) so , and , but, yet , for, so, 是coordinating conjunctions. ( clause是要有subject ,有verb的) It was raining 和 I took my umbrella.

2) Because 是 subordinating conjunction.當它放在一個 dependent clause 之前, 如Because it was raining,就變為 dependent(subordinating) clause了, 單是看”Because it was raining” 人們不明白其意思 ,要看埋I took my umbrella才明白整句意思。這亦是 subordinating(輔助) 的意思。
