True.
By allowing your kids to play games like call of duty or things like that it will probably not change them at all. As long as you make sure they are not following violent things that happen in games it should all be fine. If kids have a bad day and come home and shoot it up on call of duty that's a lot better than them doing violent things in reality.
this is a matter of "did the parents do a good enough job raising their child that the child knows the difference between reality and a video game?"
because i know some ten year olds with a better grasp on reality than some 40 year olds.
the only reason video games get so much crap when someone goes and shoots up a school or something is because parents dont want to take the blame. its so much easier to blame a video game.
so frankly, as long as the child has a firm grip on reality, let them play. i have been gaming since i could hold a controller and i am not violent. same with every other gamer i know, which is quite a few people.
like, im not saying they should let five year olds on xbox live or anything, but you didnt specify what you meant when you said "little kids"
Halo is not very bloody or gory and there is not much language and you are killing aliens. It has PG-13 violence. It is pretty suitable for a 13 year old.
On the other hand, Modern Warfare 2 is not. It has more language and you are killing people and you can see thier heads explode and limbs balst off and it is pretty brutal.
Parents should use common sense and experience the game first hand. Just because it is rated "M" doesnt mean it is not suitable for people under 17. Also maturaty matters. Some kids mature faster than others. I know a 10 year old who plays modern warefare 2 and other violent games and he is probably the nicest person you will know.
it should be TRUE dont be little wussy parents and not let your kids have fun i been playing violent games sense i was 4 or 5 and im just fine infact its the whole reason why im still gaming
True and False, personally I'm under the age limit myself but I don't go around cursing everyone out and thinking I'm cool for doing it. As long as they don't have a very high pitched squeaky voice, and are mature enough to handle themselves then its fine by me.
