What is the difference between turnover and revenue according to the GAAP in Hong Kong?

Turnover represents income derived from principal activities, the basis of which should be set out in the Notes to the accounts. Revenue on the other hand means turnover plus other income such as dividend, interest, gain on disposal of fixed assets, exchange etc.

Technically speaking, turnover means the sales revenue received from the principal business operation of the company.

It means a different things if turnover is referring to assets turnover, stock turnover etc.
