So many people study English and so few can speak it well. What is the problem here? IT is that people study the wrong material. They use the wrong methods. They are wasting their time. I’ve researched every method. I’ve tried them all from S to X. Old methods are not useful. Traditional methods are too limited. They teach only one sentence for each idea. If we forget it, we are out of luck.

We learn “Situational dialongues,” like going to the post office or visiting the doctor. Do we have any chance to use them? The answer is “No”. We can’t go to the post office every day to practice English. We can’t expect people to talk based on the situatonal dialogues. 許多人學習英語，很少有人能講得好。 [這句的so many...so few的so不是因為...所以的意思，so x是「很」的比較副詞，是用以形容many和few的。]
因為人們學習了錯誤的材料。 [「正因如此」的理解錯了。]
我研究了每一個方法。[have reseached是完成式，中文可用「了」來表達已經做了的動作。]
他們按每個意思只教一句句子。[中文意思要用倒裝重組的。]
我們學習“情境對話”，例如是去郵局或訪問醫生。[like這裏的「例如」的意思，不是喜歡。英語這種句可以連合，但中文一般會把例如跟前面隔開另一句。]
我們不能期望人在情景對話的基礎上交談。[指望是hope.]
我們怎麼能記住它們？

English is a globalize language, and for those who want to be successful in their career, English has proven to be an indispensable skill for them to learn. There are many people studying English around the world but few could really speak it well. So, one could only ask, what are the problems of learning English? Are learners, reading the wrong materials, using the wrong methods or plainly wasting time on the wrong concepts. My experience tells me the old traditional “s to x” methods are useless. It only teaches simple sentences with basic idea of English and it would never hold a conversation in our daily encounters. In school, we learnt about situational dialogue, a typical example would be how a patient talks to doctor or one going to the post office to buy stamps. The problem here is we don’t visit the doctor everyday neither do we go to the post office to buy stamps daily. So, how are we supposed to speak as we’ve learned and practice our dialogue with another? The fundamental concept of learning English cannot establish upon such simple teachings. If learning a language is about practicing and writing it frequently, situational dialogue is never one that anyone could solely depend upon.
