熱容量

把一克物質的溫度升高1℃時所需要的熱量稱作比熱容，在數量上等
於此物質的熱容量。在15℃時，水的熱容量為4.1868J/(g.℃)，也就是
說，1g的水，若要使其溫度上升1℃，需要4.1868J的熱量。這又是以
水的物理特徵作為標準的一個例子。
水的熱容量比大多數物質的熱容量都大(只有氫、鋁等的熱容量比水
大)。例如，土和砂之類的物質，熱容量為0.84J/(g.℃)，鐵和銅等金屬
僅為0.42/(g.℃)，酒精和甘油為1.26/(g.℃)，木材為0.6。這種水與土
之間熱容亮的鉅大差異，反映在氣候學上，就是海洋性氣候比大陸性.......

The reason for the high specific heat capacity of hyrogen is because it is the lightest susbtance. Hence, the number of molecules contained in 1 kg of hydrogen is the highest among all other substances. Because specific het capacity of a substance is a measure of the increase in internal energy of the molecules when the temperature rises by one degree Celsius, the more number of molecules, the higher is the specific heat capacity.
