Should it be (Isn't there a few ... or Aren't there a few ... )?

My impression is that due to the word "a" I should use singular, however a "few" implies multiple objects no matter what the context is afterward?

Also if I want to say out one single alphabet other than the vowels, is there any exception for using "an"?

eg. Starts with "a/an" s (or other alphabets).
更新1:

That's what I thought but It's funny because google search gave: Aren't there a few... "About 699,000 results (0.14 seconds) " Isn't there a few... About 3,690,000 results (0.13 seconds)

Aren't there a few, because "a few" refers to more than one thing.

And yes, you would say "an s" because what you are really saying is "an ess".
