i'm 16 years old && I met the love of my life who is 25 years old . We live in Minnesota , Is it illegal for me to date him ? I'm not looking for critizism either , Just an answer please !

You can date and have sex with him if you want.The age of consent in Minnesota is 16.
If the actor is in a position of authority, the age of consent is 18. If the victim is under the age of 13 the actor must be no more than 36 months older. If the victim is 13, 14 or 15 the actor must be no more than 48 months older. The specifics of these laws are covered under Sections 609.34x of the Minnesota Criminal Code. To date, no, that is okay. But, if he touches you or you touch him, even kiss, he can go to jail for molestation of a minor.
If you love him, you must wait till you are 18, but in some states, that is 17. I don't know what the law is in Minnesota as to marrying him at 16, but you will more than likely have to have your parents permission.

Well, considering his end-goal is probably to do you, and to do it soon, then yeah, it's pretty illegal.

There are no laws against dating. There are, however, parental rules - follow them! And he'd better keep his hands off you. You are a minor child and cannot legally give any consent. If he messes with you, he's molesting a minor child; sexual relations and he's committing statutory rape at the very least.

I believe that the age of Sexual Consent in the USA is 18, so unless you do anything like that with him then no it is not illegal.

It is ILLEGAL for him to date a minor! He could be charge for Statutory rape.

If you are in the United States yes. The law states that you may only date someone with the age difference of two years. Whether it's up or down it doesn't matter. But once you turn 18 he'll be 27 then you can date him. If the police find out he can go to jail for statutory rape as long as you are under 18 and his more then two years older. This goes for girls two.
