Agustin, Angus, Fergus, Augustus and Augustin all have the wonderful option of using the nick name - Gus. I love it.
Other nick names - Ag junior, Sunny-boy, Matey, Cobber, Windy, Deputy,
Bosun, or Tornado...picking up on the wind/gust and the son/helper theme.

Junior isn't very creative. If you want something that's unrelated to his name there are tons of nice generic nicknames. Think the 1950s:
Scout
Buddy
Pal
