There are two of participles: present participle and past participle.

active: [ breaking ] ← Present Participle
passive: [ ? ] ← past participle

active: [ ? ] ← Present Participle
passive: [ broken ] ← past participle

Active: [ breaking ] <== Pr. P.

Passive: [ broken ] <== P. P.
Participle.分詞,是在一句內當有多個動作出現時,用來分擔主要動詞pv的負担.

現在分詞pr. p. 作v時是附有active.及與pv同一時間進行中.

過去分詞p. p. 作v時是被動及已完成,其動作時間是已過去先于pv.

分詞除作verb用, 也可作adj.及adv.用.

用作adv.當然可在relative clause 去領頭作句.

preposition短語,因為不能有原動詞verb.的存在,所有附帶動作性的詞,
都要由non-finite verb.來担當. 即是infinitive....gerund....participle.
