How do you settle down a class?

Well If you are a Teacher do this:Say in your regular voice 5,4,3,2,1,0 and if they are still talking Yell Excuse Me!If they still dont calm down make a box on they board.That is called a warning box.If they still are noisy put one tally mark on the board.That means they owe you 1 minute after school,Brunch,or Lunch.Put up as many tally marks as you want cause they need to learn to respect a teacher.

I have worked as a substitute lunch room monitor. During indoor recess they are really out of control. Know I am only with them for a sort period of time, so I have to think quick.

Here is what has worked for me.

-Flash the Lights to get their attention
-Write their names on the board
-After yelling at them, I stop and start writing stuff going on in the classroom for the teacher to see. (then they start blaming each other what so & so did)
-Don't hesitate to call the school principal or a near by teacher for back up!

By being interesting. Teaching is a function of the personality--you either have one or you don't. My experience with public "educators" has been that they don't have it. That's why they work for the government. No truer statement ever made by human tongue--Those who can, do, etc.

i think that u have to find interesting ways to teach them , videos for exaple, songs to relax them and urself etc.. but you have to be strick too.
