Shop A offers a 10% discount on a book marked at $P.Shop B offers a 15% discount on the same book marked at $Q.If the selling price of the book is the same in both shops,express Q in terms of P.
2.)
By selling an article at 10% discount off the marked price,a shop still makes 20% profit.If the cost price of the article is $19800,then the marked price is?

p*(1-10%)=q*(1-15%)
0.9p=0.85q
p=0.765q
2)let the price is $x
x(1-10%)*(1-20%) =19800
0.9x*0.8=19800
0.72x=19800
x=27500
the marked price is $27500

官方小雲_紫苑小魔聖 answer has mistake so I amend here for reference.
1) P( 1 - 10% ) = Q( 1 - 15% )
9P/10 = 17Q/20
18P/20 = 17Q/20
Q = 18P/17 <----- This is the correct answer.
2) You may consider it this way:
Marked Price ( 1 - 10% ) = Cost Price ( 1 + 20% )
Marked Price = $ 19,800 x 1.2 / 0.9 = $ 26,400
1) P( 1 - 10% ) = Q( 1 - 15% )
9P/10 = 17Q/20
18P/20 = 17Q/20
Q = 18P/17 <----- This is the correct answer.
2) You may consider it this way:
Marked Price ( 1 - 10% ) = Cost Price ( 1 + 20% )
Marked Price = $ 19,800 x 1.2 / 0.9 = $ 26,400
