When can we expect the first free agent to be signed?

Free agency has been opened for almost 16 hours now and nobody has been signed. When can we expect somebody to be signed? Also who do you think will be signed first?

Sometime today or this week. I think either Westbrook resigns with the Cardinals or Peralta resigns with the Tigers.

The first one, probably withing the next 10 days. That is just a guess. And it will peobably be Lee.

Peralta has signed with the Tigers, so he's the first. But the next will probably be a reliever such as Joaquin Benoit, or Rafael Soriano.

Carl Crawford will be signing with the Boston Red Sox in December of 2010.

Some already have been, by their old teams during the exclusive signing period. I think Omar Vizquel was first but I may be wrong. If you mean other teams than look for about two weeks from now.
