State and explain what would be observed in each of the following cases. Write an appropriate equation for each reaction.

1. Adding sodium sulphite solution to aqueous bromine.
2. Adding iron (III) sulphate solution to potassium iodide solution.
更新1:

1和2都各佔3分 但係我識答同識寫條equation, 就係唔知點樣explain 個observation

✔ 最佳答案
1.
brown bromine solution turns colorless.
<Equation>
brown bromine is reduced by sulphite ion, yielding colorless bromide ion and sulphate ion.

2.
iodide solution turns from colorless to brown.
<Equation>
colorless iodide ion is oxidized by iron(III) ion, yielding elemental iodine which dissolves in iodide solution to give brown solution.
