The number of births of a city in 2006 was 20000. The number of births of this city decrease by 10% each year.
(a) Find the number of births in 2010
(b) If the number of births is expected to increase by 5% each year from 2013, find the number of births in 2015.( Give your ans correct to the nearest integer.)

ans:(a) 13122 / (b) 12304

(a) Number of birth = 20000(1 - 10%)^4
= 13122
(b) Number of birth at 2015 = 20000(1 - 10%)^6(1 + 5%)^3
= 12304

∴the number of births in 2010 is 13122
b)The number of births in 2015:20000(1-10%)^6(1+5%)^3
=12304
