much 同 more

MORE = in addition to an amount or a number

More 這個字有許多用途. 用作 determiner. 除了作 adjective 的 comparative 外, 一用法是意義 additional, extra, supplementary and further. 用在noun前面, 包括uncountable noun. You use "more" to indicate that you are talking about a great number of people or things, greater amount of something, 這個 something 包括uncountable nouns.

I need more time.
I need more information.
I need more money.
Can I have more coffee?
More water is needed.

 這些字 time, information, money, coffee and water 全部是 uncountable noun. More 不限於用在countable nouns前面.

“Time” is uncountable and countable noun. It depends on how you use it.

She has not got much time left.
I enjoy my course at first, but after a time I got bored with it. [time = a period of days, months, years for which something has been happening.]
