Both of the car rental are more or less the same. You can also add one i.e. http://www.usacarsrental.com/ to the above mentioned as it provide some extra facilities like free pick and drop at the customer specified location. Interesting discounts that help customer ease thier load on pocket.

My last 2 rentals this year have been Alamo and Enterprise. Avis, Budget, and Hertz rarely beat others' deals.

Depends entirely on what your criteria is for "better" I suppose. They are similar. One may be better for you because of location or something like that.

They're both very similar.

Some say Budget has better deals, but I once rented a car from Avis to drive from Pensacola to New Orleans for $7.00 with no drop off fee. Presumably because they needed or wanted the car in New Orleans.

Good Luck.

FTOs are cheap and while they may have half decent performance figures and look ok, I would never really class them as a Sports car. If you want some fun then an MX5 isn't a bad bet as they're reliable, cheap and rear wheel drive (which is commonly held as the best set-up for a sports car). Not massively quick though. An MR2 Turbo is sporty looking, rwd and quick so could be a good bet is you like that coupe type look. Reliable too if not been messed around with too much. You can also pick up Impreza turbos for that money now - they don't look like sports cars and are 4wd but you will be able to drive it quicker than you thought. The Celica GT4 is also 4wd and has a turbo, yet comes in a more sporty looking shell so that may suit you, although for that money you may be getting quite an old one. Alternatively, there are some quick FWD cars that are quite good and reliable like the Mk3 Golf VR6 or the under-rated Corrado VR6 that has a 2.9-litre engine in a coupe body style. Depends what you want really - for looks then the FTO I guess is quite funky but the MR2 looks slicker. For performance, the Impreza. For a great sounding engine and a decent FWD chassis, the Corrado. For cheap, roof-down, rear out fun then the MX5. Hope that helps. Oh yeah, the Nissan 200SX as said above. Both S13, S14 and S14a look ok and are well liked in tuning circles, but most people I know with one has ended up needing a full rebuild. That may just be because I know people with heavy right feet though!
