i issued a cheque with wrong english ' thousand' to be something like "thurland"...is it still alright?...the $$ no. in right handside is no error....

The bank will most likely accept your cheque because:
in handwriting, something like 'thurland' is close enough to 'thousand',if all the other written words match with the money amount in numerals (ie $xxx), there should not be a problem.
