A well-bred PW Corgi puppy from a responsible breeder will cost the same as most other breeds of dogs - $750-$2000 http://www.pembrokecorgi.org/memberlist.cfm

Rescue groups typically charge anywhere from $150-$500 http://www.pembrokecorgi.org/rescue_network.html

Shelters run anywhere from $25-$250 http://www.petfinder.com

Average cost to raise a dog is $1000-$1500/year

They are herding dogs, so if you do not properly train then and work them, they will be "naughty" and will bark A TON. Work means potentially spending 2 hours a day EVERY day for the next 15 years doing active things - not just walks here and there.

A full breed corgi would cost $800+. Unless you get one from your shelter you may be lucky to get one cheaper.

It depends, each vaccine has a different costs. If you get one from a shelter it should have most of the vaccine's covered for you.

No, if Welsh Corgi's are brought up well by a hard, caring owner than they will have just as much respect that you give them.

Corgi's tend to bark a bit. But training can stop some of that if you teach your dog to "Shush" or "Be Quiet".

Your welcome. hope it helps!

The owner of the dog needs to know how to "operate" the dog, same way you can get into a car that's in perfect running order but if you don't know how to drive you won't have much luck making the car go anywhere. If the owner doesn't know how to maintain the training, the dog will soon become untrained again. Read more here https://tr.im/p7n73

People seem to think that once a dog is trained, that's it. Not true. You must reinforce the dog's training every single day in some way. It's best if the owner and the dog go together to get trained. As a professional trainer once said to me "We can train any dog in 2 days. It takes longer to train the owners

Depending on your area and the breeder the cost can range a lot, here are a few ideas:
Corgie Mixes- $0-$400
Corgie Rescue Dog (can be pure and reg'd)- $50-$200
BYB Corgie- $200-$400
Pet Quality Reg'd Corgie- $600
Show Quality Reg'd Corgie- $1500
Good luck! Here is some more info on the breed http://www.dogchannel.com/pembroke-welsh-corgi-dogs-breed-profiles.aspx

i have a female pembroke welsh corgi and i love her to death. they do bark a lot and think they are the size of a german shepherd. ours cost about $400 and she is a purebred. corgis are very obedient, loving dogs but they can be stubborn so start training early. they live about 11-14 years they can be prone to gingivitis so set up dental appointments each year. they also can get back and knee problems if they are overweight. in their older years, mine is 11, they may get fatty tumors. they aren't cancerous and don't have to be removed but if you don't like the look of them or they are constricting your dogs movement you can get them removed. we've already had 3 removed off our dog and one was the size of a lemon and turned out to be cancerous, but normally they aren't. hope this helps.
