I don't hate him, but he's a scapegoat for casual hip-hop fans to listen to and not give a **** about branching out into other mcs. Listening to Eminem doesn't give the person the right to be some sort of authority on hip-hop.
Some of his fans are tolerable, but every new album he makes - a new generation of clueless bandwagoners are born...
People also have this excuse for not liking other mcs because they assume that it's misogynist and violent.
Eminem has been known to rap about incest, wife-beatings and prescribing fatal drugs - regardless of how serious he was...
If people can stomach his first four albums then they can stomach most hip-hop and appreciate it for what it represents...
He's a solid rapper, but there are superficial and dodgy aspects to Eminem, and he has bitten so many styles down the years...
