So..I'm Interested In Going To Howard University..?

My Accumulated GPA For My 1rst 3 years in high school is a 82.My GPA Is Currently A 3.1 And should go a few points higher after my senior year is over next June 2011.I have several extra-carricular activities especially this year as a senior,such as being a peer mediator.I am also a licensed nail tech at the age of 16,and I'm taking a journalism class.I'm Exceptional in English,I even have a published poem.My SAT scores the first time I took them,Only added up to around the 1600's.I know that is awful,and I'm taking the SAT's again in Nov but do you think I have any chance of getting in?..And is it true if I apply earlier than the traditional month that I'll have more of a chance to get accepted?...I really wanna get accepted but I don't wanna be rejected!
