If Canada cuts ties with the US, its doomed. Canada and the US traded $430/billion dollars of Goods and Services in 2009 with each other. Both nations would suffer.

You've got to be kidding. Canada literally would collapse into stone age chaos without Big Daddy here to take care of you 24/7. You'd actually have to try to act like a real country.
