I feel excited.這句的grammar有否錯?

I feel excited. I feel good. I feel discourgaged. 這些句子的grammar是否錯了?

問的原因:

查字典excited, good , discouraged 是形容詞。但是否一定要用副詞(adverb) 來形容feel(動詞)呢?

e.g.

I sing loudly, I play happily (loudly 和happily都是adverb)
更新1:

mwl網友: 閣下所寫的 "在妳的句子中, excited, good, discouraged 只可用作形容名詞 I 而不是 動詞 feel。" 請問這三個英文字是形容那個名詞呢?

更新2:

原來是linking verb的問題,在下列網頁有更多資料: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copula_(linguistics) http://www.usingenglish.com/glossary/linking-verb.html 謝謝各位回答!!

✔ 最佳答案
I feel excited. I feel good. I feel discouraged. 這些句子的 grammar 没有錯.

We usually use adverb, not adjective, right after the verb. But with certain verbs, adjectives can be used. This type of verbs are called linking verbs.

Linking verbs  help to make a statement, not by expressing an action but serving as a link between tow words. You should become thoroughly familiar with the linking verbs in the following list.

be (am, is, are, was, were), appear, look, smell, feel, get (=become), seem, look, taste, sound, stay (= remain), grow, turn

This happens when we are really describing the subject of the sentence, not the “action” of the verb.

She is beautiful. She seems nice. She sounds nice. She smells nice. She feels nice.

But be careful. Some of these verbs have two meanings. Compare:

The problem appeared impossible. (impossible is an adjective.)
She appeared suddenly. (suddenly is an adverb.)

In the first sentence, appeared means “seemed”, and it is used with an adjective. But in the second sentence, appeared means “came into sight” (an action), so it is used with an adverb.

Look, taste, feel and smell can also be used to refer to actions, and they are then used with adverbs.
My Dad looks angry. (=”seems angry”)
My Dad is looking angrily at me. (looking = “directing his eyes” – an action)
My skin feels rough.
My older brother felt my skin roughly.

Hope this can help.

Typo error:

Linking verbs help to make a statement, not by expressing an action but serving as a link between TWO words. (It is two, not tow.)

唔好意思,我曾問下面問題。但原來是我睇漏左,下面[形容名詞]後面是個英文"I"字。所以我問錯了!! Sorry!!!

I feel exicted.(我感覺興奮); I feel good.(我感覺得好好); I feel dicouraged (我感覺得沮喪)的句子全沒有犯上文法錯誤。
你可能像我一樣有時因太忙碌而忽而鑽了牛角尖, 忘記了形容詞的釋義i.e.,
definition of ' An Adjective is a word used to add something to the meaning of a Noun.'. 如 He is a brave boy. Those are beautiful flowers.只是用作形容名詞, 包括代名詞, 物和事,或可代名詞作用的名詞短語(Noun Phrase)或名詞
短句(Noun Clause)。
在妳的句子中, excited, good, discouraged 只可用作形容名詞 I 而不是 動詞
feel。要一提的是雖則good字也有人非正式地用作副詞, 但標準的英語多用 well 而棄用good作副詞(Adverb)。

要形容形容詞(Adjective)一定要用副詞(Adverb), 因為副詞(Adverb)的作用是形容動詞(Verb), 形容詞(Adjective),或另一個副詞(Adverb), 它的釋義(definition)是' An Adverb is a word used to add something to the meaning of a verb,
an adjective, or another adverb.' 如下列句子:

He runs quickly.----Adverb ' quickly' 用作形容動詞' runs'。
Those flowers are very beautiful.----Adverb' very' 用作形容形容詞'beautiful'。
She sings quite loudly.----Adverb' quite' 用作形容另一Adverb' loudly'。

妳最後所列的loudly 和happily沒錯都是 Adverb, 但留意並不是所有形容詞後加 ly 便是副詞(Adverb),很多其他如 very, so, quite, rather, too, enough, any
等等也是副詞(Adverb)。

Normally we use an adverb to describe a verb, as in your examples: sing loudly, play happily, but after certaqin sensational verbs 官感動詞 like feel, taste, smell, seem, look, etc. we use adjectives
e.g. The cake tastes/smells good/delicious.
He feels excited.
She feels good/ happy.
They look sad.
Tom seems unhappy.
