Force and energy are physical quantities of different nature. A force produces energy when it does work.

When a ball crashes onto a wall, the impact force does work by deforming the ball when it is in touch with the wall. The ball, on restoring to its original shape, doesn't re-gain all the energy (work-done) produced by the impact body. The leaves some energy to appear as heat and sound.
