In which countries do police carry guns?
I know that in New Zealand, most police officers don't carry guns and yet, I've heard that most Australian police officers do carry guns.
Apparently in the United Kingdom police don't carry guns either, but in America, they do.
So, in which countries do police carry guns?

Every country that im aware of except england , im not sure if the whole UK is no guns for police. and of course you mentioned NZ.
I do know every in every U.S. state, police departments carry a handgun of some type. They also carry a shotgun in a rack between the driver and passenger seat. They may also carry a M4 in the trunk or attached to a back of a motorcycle. so basically don't threaten cops in the U.S. or armed ones anywhere in the world.

the only countries I have NOT seen them carry guns is the uk and nz, here in canada they do but an officer is not supposed to take out their gun unless someone pulls out one on them. in most us states and in mexico it's the same.
i think we should take their tazers away before we take their guns away.
the only different united states different than for the USA of a i've got seen the place the police use weapons is in Egypt. they now and back questioned around the hotels with huge riffles linked to their belt.
every country in the solar system execpt uk, ireland, south korea, fiji, these countries' police force r completely unarmed, no execptions. In norway, nz, iceland, cops carry guns in their vehicles
In Australia a handgun is part of standard issue for all police persons. In smaller towns where crime is virtually nonexistant and everyone knows everyone the local cop doesn't always carry his/her weapon. But you can be assured it is not far away.
They carry in every country where the criminals carry.
