The ocean park is a place where most youngsters like to visit.
The New Territories is a place.or a bigger area. Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun , Shatin , Fanling and Tai Po are in the New Territories.

Hong Kong Island , Kowloon & Causeway Bay is a name of a place.

We have to memorise the rules and we will get used to it naturally.

Park也不用加冠詞(Article)the字在前面的。(但要注意國家如美國,英國之前要加 冠詞如 He went to the USA或He went to the UK 是與該兩國的歷史背景有關, 簡畧地說,美國以前在尚未正式統一前,各州自我管轄, 各州有不同法例,
就是現在還有些州份有此情况存在, 國家正名難用任何一州為首, 所以後來同意用亞美利堅合眾國, the United States of America,簡稱the USA；而英國未統一前亦分英格蘭, 愛爾蘭及蘇格蘭三國, 於统一後亦不讓任何一國為國家名
字, 只同意用聯合帝國為名, 所以就叫the United Kingdom,簡稱the UK了。
明白了以上解釋,就容易領會I live in Hong Kong或I live on Hong Kong Island
而不用加 the 就因為香港是一個政治領域的專有名稱； 九龍在租借予英國期內因界限街以北的地區不屬於租借地所以有它本身的名稱九龍半島,Kowloon Peninsula, 簡稱九龍,Kowloon的專有名稱。故而Hong Kong和Kowloon之前
不用加 the 字。至於新界, 它的原意是the new territories of Hong Kong, 是在政治領域而言只是棣屬香港的一部份未開拓的地區, 所以後來開發了就统稱為the New Territories 了, 所以我們在信封上也要在NT.後還要寫 Hong Kong.就因the New Territories 只是香港一處地方, 所以就要用the在前面了。
