find an equation of the plane through the points P1(-2,1,4) and P2(1,0,4) that is perpendicular to the plane 4x-y+3z=2.

Let the plane be ax+by+cz=1Since it is perpendicular to 4x-y+3z=2=>4a-b+3c=0…(1)Since the plane contains P1 and P2 so-2a+b+4c=1…(2)a+4c=1…(3)(3)=>a=1-4c(1)+(2)=>2a+7c=12(1-4c)+7c=12-8c+7c=1c=1=>a=-3Sub into (1), -12-b+3=0=>b=-9Therefore equation of the plane is-3x-9y+z=1
