Italy 17 days in Feb. rome in milano out.
plan A & B. which one you think is better and why?
Thanks for advise and better to provide some suggestion if both plans are not good.
(A) Rome -> Naples -> San Marino -> Firenze -> Genova -> Venice -> Verona -> Milano
(B) Rome -> Naples -> Firenze -> Venice -> Verona -> Genova -> Milano

Actually, there is no major difference between your plans, except San Marino, right?You have enough time to visis all cities that you have mentioned, so what you should think about is how to arrange them in a smooth way. The train access of San Marino is not good, you need to go to Rimini, then going there by bus.
For your trip, I will arrange like this:
Rome -- Naples -- Firenze & Pisa -- Rimini (San Marino) -- Venice -- Verona -- Milano & Genova.
