點解有D tense 係will be+past tense?
例如:
1.One day in November, he saw a little girl dropping a letter into a mailbox and saying to her mother, '' Are you sure this letter will be sent to Santa?''
2.I was invited to join the Toy Exhibition which will be held tomorrow and is very excited now.

Past Tense For Hold

The words "sent" and "held" are not past tense in the two sentences. They are past participles.
Send, sent (past tense), sent (past participle)
hold, held (past tense), held (past tense)

The past tense and past participle are spelt the same in this case.
The two sentences are in future simple tense, but in passive voice.
The format is : will + be + past participle.

My younger brother will break this bottle.
(Active voice in future simple tense)

This bottle will be broken by my younger brother.
(Passive voice in future simple tense).

break, broke (past tense), broken (past participle)

To James:
going and sending are called present participle, not present continuous. They can be used in other tenses as well, such as past continuous tense.

will be 之後不一定是用 past participle, 可以用 present participle.

例如: I will be going. (Future continuous tense)

Are you sure this letter will be sent to Santa?''
唔係will be + past tense......係will be + past participle

如 (1)
go (present)
going (present continous)
went (past)
gone (past participle)

如 (2)
send (present)
sending (present continious)
sent (past)
sent (past participle)

will be 之後一定是用past participle

2.I was invited to join the Toy Exhibition which will be held tomorrow and is very excited now.

will be held 是一樣.

hold (present)
holding (present continious)
held (past)
held (past participle)

這個是 past participle = 過去分詞, 不是過去式

past participle = 過去分詞

will be 之後一定是用 past participle

go going went gone / do doing did done / take taking took taken / hold holding held held / sned sending sent sent / eat eating ate eaten / find finding found found ............etc etc

除 will be 之後一定用 past participle,

I have alraedy done,
has/have alteady 之後都是用past participle

going (present continous) and sending (present continious) 應是 CONTINIOUS

This is called passive voice.

The pattern of passive voice in present tense and future tense :
is /am /are /will be + past participle

The pattern of passive voice in present / past continuous tense:
is /am/ are /was /were + being + past participle

The pattern of passive voice in present / past perfect tense:
has / have /had + been + past participle

Hope that you find it useful.
