He is also an inside dog as we live in an apt. So snakes are out of the picture. And i cant take him to the vet now it 10 o'clock thats y im on here asking.
What could be wrong with my 20 week old lab?

He is running around like crazy and shaking his head scratching at his right ear. I know its uncomfortable because he is whinning. I looked in his ear but didnt see anything. He wont let us touch his ears or barely let us come near him for that matter. What do you suggest??

Maybe ear mites, or even a bug deep in it's ear canal. Dog ear canals are very deep and I seriously doubt you could see something if it was there. Maybe ig got bit or stung. At any rate I strongly urge you to let a vet look at it. You don't want to end up with a deaf dog just cause you assumed it would be OK. For the dog's sake, see the vet.Papaw

If you ever see your dog uncomfortable in any way, you need to take him to the vet. Something could have gotten stuck inside his ear that needs to be checked by the vet!!

HE MIGHT BE IN GREAT DANGER.TAKE HIM TO THE VET AND GET HIM EXAMINED.FOR ALL WE KNOW HE PROBABLY GOT BITTEN BY A SNAKE.SO PLEASE GO HAVE HIM CHECKED.

It could be a ear infection. Take him t o a vet as soon as you can. He will need antibiotics.

Something inside the ear for sure. It could be nothing serious but could be fatal too. All we do here is just guessing. You need to observe very closely and keep a journal of his behaviour. Should you need to take him to a vet the journal will be a great help.
You can get some oil for cleaning ears from pet shops. It won't hurt to have his ear cleaned out.
Or, he could have ticks on the right hand side of his head. Can you check it out with the help of another member of the family? One plays with him and the other looks into the skin on his head?

red, swelling, brown stuff, or lumpy.
could even be crusty.
he may have a flea in there if he has them.
and he also could have a ruptured eardrum if anything struck his ear.
could be fluids in the ear canal.
honestly, could be anything.
so, ur gona have to force him to let u see in his ear, to look for one of these symptoms.
u should assume that he needs to go to someone to be seen if there is no visible problem.
compare his ear to the other ear if ur not sure what the bad one should look like originally.
