Ok, I saw some black shiny specks about the size of a period behind one of my dog's ears. OMG, and she sleeps in my bed sometimes! Are these flea eggs or ticks? Please help.
The black, shiny specks on your dog's ears are the fleas poo. Also flea eggs are white, tiny round specks mostly hidden beneath and between the dog's hair-most common where fleas are found is around the neck, under the arm pits, near the base of the tail and mostly around anywhere where their is heat or warmth. hope this helps.
參考: I own a tall siberian husky male and a large rottweiler male and three cats ( they used to have shiny, black specks which I used to thought were eggs, turn out it was flea poo! and the eggs were instead white).
if they move and are close to the skin then yes he might have fleas. you must buy monthly pet flea protection. i know it's expensive i have a yorkshire terrier as well but its better to pay a little and have no fleas then have fleas and eventualy they can invest your home and you will have to pay A LOT more money for an exterminator.
Yes they sound a lot like flea eggs, stop freaking out though,It's a dog and every dog has & gets fleas only way to prevent it is medication and baths regularly.
