Element A:
-melting poing -7℃

-Boiling point 58℃

Electrical conductivity: Non-conductor
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Element B:
-melting poing 850℃

-Boiling point 1480℃

Electrical conductivity: Good conductor
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Element C:
-melting poing -39℃

-Boiling point 357℃

Electrical conductivity: Good conductor
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
a)state whether each of the above elements is a gas, a liquid or a solid under room conditions.
b)Give the name of element A. Give reasons for your answers.
c)Give the name of element C. Give reasons for your answers.

room temp. is 25℃.
when room temp is lower than melting point, it's solid;
when room temp is between melting point and boiling point, it's liquid;
when room temp is higher than boiling point, it's gas.

A, C are liquid while B is solid.

A is liquid element but a non-conductor. it's non-metal, thus bromine.
C is liquid element but a conductor. it's metal, thus mercury.

(almost) only two elements at room temp. are liquid - bromine (#35) and mercury (#80).

yes if you consider these artificial, radioactive elements. well, did scientists isolate sufficient amt. of Fr for determining its phyc. prop.? it seems that the mp of Fr is just estimation!
btw, Ga (#31) melts at 29℃.

Francium is the third element which is in liquid form in room temperature
