Shots mean that you don't have to worry about rabies. But you could still get an infection from the germs that were on your dog's teeth. Clean your wound well and if you see any redness developing, get o a doctor.
You also need to figure out why the dog bit you and more importanly, how to keep her from doing it again. If a playful puppy nip then don't worry. If adult and done in anger, I'd recommend a trainer because she needs to know that it is a no-no.

If she's current on her shots and rabies vaccination then you have nothing to worry about in that regard. Keep the wound cleaned and covered. HOWEVER, if she bit you out of aggression then you should worry and hire a professional trainer to address the issue. If it was an accidental play bite, etc. then learn how to play in a way that will keep your appendages out of the dog's mouth or just be faster...lol.

Dogs do carry bacteria in the mouth. Make sure you washed the area well with soapy water. If it's hot tomorrow and hurts worse, get to a clinic and get a shot of antibiotics.

Just clean the wound, it'll hurt in the morning guaranteed, but you should be fine. If you are really worried about it, you can go to the Clinic tomorrow and let them take a go at it. I suggest you just clean it and bandage it up.

As for being worried, only for the mere fact the dog bit you in the first place. You must correct that or it will get out of hand fast.

My question is, "why did your dog bite you?" Dogs should not be biting there owns. That is bad behaviour, unless you illicit-ed it by some action toward the dog. I wouldn't worry about infections from your dog if it has been given shots. Although, I would keep an eye on the bite if it doesn't heal or becomes inflamed. I hope this has helped you.

Consult your physician.

It's unlikely you'll get rabies. But dogs lick everywhere and their teeth could be dirty. Wash your wound and put anti-septic cream or ointment on it first. If you don't feel well after a while you could have some infection. Then you should go to a doctor.

Having said that, don't worry too much as a healthy human being has a certain level of resistance. You must have had some cuts and bruises before. If you fell off your bike and got your knees badly scratched the results could be similar.

of course you should.if a dog bit you hard enough to give you concern, let alone your own dog, perhaps that dog needs behavior modification (unless there was a valid reason for this)

viral wise, you are safe if the shots are completed. However, you can still get a bacterial infection if the wound is not cleaned properly.Even then, an infection could have entered your body on contact.Observe the area carefully and if it gets worse within the next couple of hours, go to the ER.

ive known people to get sick from dog bites, even after the wound seemed otherwise clean.

and if you are ever bitten by a cat, go to the er asap!
