can someone give me a very simple connection instruction pls. i'm kinda hopeless in this!

dvd = one set composite in / out socket
tv = 2 sets of composite in / out socket + 1 component set (dont know what's this for!)

set top box = 1 set of composit in/out socket + with HDMI Output (dont know what's this for!)

thanks so much!

Component video is the individual colors. They look better but you need component connections on both devices (the player and the TV).

HDMI is a digital version of video and sound. Again you need HDMI on both devices.

Since composite seems to be the common thing here: Connect composite out for the STB to composite input 1 on the TV and audio out of the STB to the audio input 1 on the TV. Connect composite out of the DVD player to composite input 2 of the TV and audio out of the DVD player to audio input 2 on the TV.

Now you can switch between the STB and the DVD by just changing inputs on the TV.
