A Canadian, driving in the U.S.A., fuels their car at a cost of US$3.84 per gallon (US).
The current monetary exchange rate is 0.934 US$/Can$.
The density of the fuel is 0.655 g/mL.
What is the mass of Can$40.00-worth of this fuel?
1 U.S. gallon = 3.7854 liters.

If the vehicle consumes the gasoline at a rate of 5.60 L/100 km, how many miles can it travel on the above amount of gasoline?

Converting from Can$ to US$:

Can$ 40.00 = US$ 40.00 x 0.934 = US$ 37.36

Hence, amount of fuel, in gallon that can be bought is:

37.36/3.84 = 9.729 U.S. gallon

Converting to litre, it is equal to 9.729 x 3.7854 = 36.829 L

Hence mass = 0.655 x 36.829 x 1000 = 24123 g = 24.123 kg

With this amount of fuel, distance that can be travelled is:

36.829/5.6 x 100 = 657.7 km

Mass of gasoline= (0.934 x 40)/3.84 x 3.7854 /0.655 x1000 = 56227,1565 gm =56.2272 Kg

length of travelling = 0.934 x 40/3.84 x 3.7845 / 5.6 x100 = 657.6569 Km
