It was the first week of my study at Sha Tin Government School. On September 2nd, we had an orientation day for the Form 1 students. Some Form 4 students led us around the floors and introduced the special rooms. After that we played some games in the hall.
I thought the game ‘Stepping on the newspaper’ was the best game I had ever played. Students were divided into twenty groups. Each group was asked to divide a newspaper into nine grids and assign each grid a number. Then the host called out a number, and the corresponding part of the newspaper had to be removed. After that each group must try to fit all members onto the now smaller newspaper. When that was done the host called out the next number. The last group remained standing on the newspaper win.
We had a house meeting on the following day. The house leader shared his experience, encouraged the good students of the B house, and gave out some prizes.
I also joined a boy scouts club because I like camping and hiking. The first week of S.T.G.S.S. was great!
